The size of the rod dose not matter. The point is that the rod mentioned was a heavier rod and was built with rollers. You don't have to believe me ill show you the pic within the next few days. Just so you know I'm know beginner and i do not wish to insult you or get your approval, but AS A BUILDER i have worked with over 1000 rods PROFESSIONALLY and another 100 or so as a hobby. So i was not giving an opinion. I was giving and option for this person!!! And any real rod builder knows there is know perfect guide, reel seat, or blank....just whatever arrangement is best for each individual who owns the rod!!! That person has to determine that what he or she likes the best through trial and error!!! They can lesson to the advice of others but there is no short cut to experience!!!

I'm very curious to see what type of roller tip that rod is using and what's the diameter of that blank at the tip. I'm looking forward to see that picture & we'll continue discussing from there.

As to Juice0425 i apologize for all the rod drama didn't intend on arguing with anyone. just wanted to offer an option. In my opinion those guides will work fine but you will have to use a different tip. The standard tip wont hold up. good luck looking forward to seeing what you come up with :D :D :D
